I've been waiting for this day for three months now. It's been three months I'
ve known I will be in the same room than Henry Rollins tonight and that I'd have the privilege to hear one of his conferences. This is going to be very interesting. Not much people know this, but Henry Rollins is my life model. He has been marketing himself as a value and made a living off his amazing trademark rants. I love this guy. He is one of these people that gives value to human intellect, which is no easy feat.
For those who think Henry is a just a washed up rocker, let it be known. He's a spoken word artist a writer and an adventurer that lives crazy adventures on a daily basis. He is renowned for his generosity, giving 3-4 hours shows everytime he hops on stage and starts talking. It's stupid, I'll probably won't talk to him or anything, but I feel anxious to go there. He's such a complex and tormented person that I am eager to see what kind of vibe he has when you meet him. Even if I don't like to admit it, I've been identifying myself to him a lot lately. I hope that wasn't just all smoke and mirrors.
I was finally able to work on "Solace" this week-end. I closed out a chapter in a proper fashion. Of course there are many things to edit out, but I want to write first, edit later. Re-writing is fun if you don't have any other plans ahead. you can't re-write as you write. You'll throw your manuscript in the garbage. I am working on developping Ashley, the main protagonist's platonic love. She's breathing a new life in the novel. As I ponder more and I take more my time to write this up, I realize she was an important people of the puzzle missing. Things are looking up, I hope Henry Rollins will be the wind that'll make me sale even faster.
