Memo: Adrenaline Dump

Last Saturday was Fight Quest 11. The event was a great success, maybe even better than the usual fight card. I am normally experiencing an adrenaline dump after the show. For a few days, I'm droning around, being tired all the time. This one hits me pretty hard though. Maybe it has to do with my dog Scarlett who just had neutering surgery and who cannot last a whole night without peeing herself. I've been really really zombified since last Saturday.

I'm passed the point where coffee works. I will need a smart drink, preferably a NOS in order to be functional. Last week was such an adrenaline fueled ride that after the climax of all my preoccupation hit the ceiling, everything went crashing down. The show went good. Two of six guys lost. One over-prepared, he peaked three weeks ago, so he didn't have anything left. The other was at the top of the ladder. He fought the best, lost and has now homeworks to do.

Thank God writing only takes that much energy. This zombie monklike focus state that I'm in will be an asset in order to isolate myself with my tale. You have to make the best out of every situation that life is throwing at you. That's how I see things. It's like Jiu-Jitsu. Never fight against something, just go with it and adapt to the situation. Adrenaline dump? Sure! It's a good enough reason to retract around my story.
