Programming/Memo: Lenghts & Endings

In a constant effort to give my readers the best of me, I came to a decision. Both of "Aftershock" and "Black Sun" will come to an end after 25 episodes also. I'm not sure if anyone is disappointed by this but this in inevitable. To be accurate, a story needs a certain lenght and an end. Drifting from an episode to the other, asking myself "What's going to happen this week?" is fun for a little while but quickly gets heavy. It's an exercice in stretching inspiration thin.

My initial goal was to use these episodics as short stories I could send out and publish, but the lack of focus of my storylines made tales heavy and spread out. There are only a few weekly episodes I could use as short stories (notably "Burning Ashes"), but as a whole, it's a big mess that made me learn a lot.

I'm already working on Law Of The Gun's successor. I can tell you it will be called "Versus" and that is will have a lenght of 12 episodes. A bit like a TV show. I keep inspiration strong so if I want to do a "second season" (maybe then I will have a demand for it), then I will.

On this, thanks for reading Dead End Follies. You guys are the few, the proud, the strong that follow me, expect a significant step up in the quality of my second generation of episodic fiction.
