Please know, my dear readership, that I am white noising a little bit these days. Things are a constant blur in my head and I have hard time to sit down and write. I do it anyway, but I am writing about everyday life more than anything else. I want to have your participation here. Since my last trip to the movies two weeks ago (where I watched four movies in a row), I have yet to find interesting stuff to watch. Revisiting my personal favorites are fun, but I want new stuff. The Expendables are only hitting the big screen in two weeks, so what should I look up to until then?
What movies have you seen lately that you deem worth to recommend? Big screen or DVD rent. Remember, I have seen Inception already (and though it was the greatest blockbuster since...fuck...since forever). So what are your movies that you would say I HAVE to watch.
These days i'm re-watching the Alien movies. Great classics, plus its 4 different views of a same subject by 4 great directors. Pretty rare in a franchise.
ReplyDeleteDidn't we watched those together like ten years ago? Damn. That's a good suggestion. I think I'll get around Alien 3 soon. I watched 1 & 2 like 13103 times, wasn't crazy about 4, but 3...I watched it once...and I remember digging it a lot.

ReplyDeleteOne film I absolutely have to recommend is City of God - it's really violent but it says a lot about abject poverty and gang violence in Brazil.

Sadly, I have seen all three. I even own City Of God in DVD. That said. Sunshine was an amazing movie and you make me feel like watching it again. Alien 3 and Sunshine soon? Seeeeems so!
