A writer can find a lot of oddities in the blogosphere. As a part of the fun ones (and not too time consuming), I have lately been entertained by Caustic Cover Critic. The critic in question is an Australian bloke named James Morrison, who shares with us his observations about the strange and depressing world of book design.
Reading James' blog, you'll find out that for every book with a nice cover, ten will try to copy it and ten others will feature ugly stuff. Caustic Cover Critic has a refreshing approach if you compare it to your typical "writer help" or "publishing help". Writers love these blogs too, but a change of tempo can keep things interesting much long. And don't lie. Every first time writer daydreams about what his novel will look like in print. I know I do!
Enjoy!
