Hello From Buenos Aires

No display photo! (We will get to that later). Just want to say hi and mention that I am still alive. JFK Airport in New York was a trip (I will write a piece on this alone) and the plane was another one in itself. Right now I will head out and pound the streets of Buenos Aires for the day (the vibe is wild here). You might have heard rumors, but I have not died in an atrocious plane crash or either have been held up by a Chilean drug lord.

  2. Buenos Aires is an amazing city, and like you say the vibe is wild there. I had the opportunity to live for a couple of months while I was studying photography. I stay in the San Telmo neighborhood, a really authentic part of the city where I enjoyed a variety of activities, from walks through the streets, the Sunday fair to disco nights and pubs. During my time in the city, I book trough BsAs4U a Tango Show in Esq Carlos Gardel, and I enjoyed a really unique night. I believe that that’s such and authentic activity that is so hard to find in other place of the world, so it makes the difference between a city and the other. Now I’m living in Montreal and I have to say that is an amazing city too, but about that tango show I saw, I'm totally sure that I never going to find something like that in other different place than Buenos Aires.

  3. Thanks for the posts guys. Senor Anonymous, I live in San Telmo right now too. Very nice indeed, but kind of small. Also, I'm right below Mexico St. so there's a lot of strange people around. I didn't see a tango show yet, but I took a lesson with Josie. The mechanics of that dance are fascinating. Like I told her, I wouldn't dislike regular classes. It's a dance I wouldn't be ashamed to dance in public. Have yet to see a whole show though!!! Will leave for Uruguay Saturday and come back Tuesday to explore Palermo.

Where do you live in Montreal?
