Literary Tattoos

The Word Made Flesh - book trailer from Tattoolit on Vimeo.

I found this on Pimp My Novel's ever amazing Friday round-up. This is mind-blowing to me, because I thought I was the only person in the world sporting a literary tattoo. It's a whole paragraph, right on my forearm. Seems like many people share the love of words with the same intensity that I do. It's cool, I'm no hipster. I can dig other people having the same things that I have.

Check it out, fellow writers. It might inspire you to get the word of your favorite authors inked in your skin.

Amazing ink. I don't know that I would be that brave.

You know what? I kept saying the same thing for years. After I got my tat I kept looking in the mirror and ask myself: "What took me so long?"

That's pretty cool! I got my first tat this year. Hurt like a bitch, but man, I love my tattoo so much! I'm into piercings/tats anyway as the aesthetic appeals to me.

I have been thinking of getting a literary tattoo for a while, actually. I want the word: "NEVERMORE" with a little raven next to it from Edgar Allan Poe's poem, "The Raven." My favorite line is, "quoth the raven; 'nevermore'" Has a gothic, creepy vibe to it...and Edgar Allan Poe is my idol and major influence. I've been a Poe fangirl since 2nd grade, lol.

That's the horror side of you. Where does the erotica and cannibalism come from?
