Rob Halford & Bruce Dickinson - The One You Love To Hate

Enough with the gentle music. Here's some good, old fashioned hard rock. Rob Halford has quite the story. He reigned over the eighties as some kind of sex god as the frontman of Judas Priest. Only problem? He's gay and was absolutely miserable. After leaving the band and having miserable nineties, he came out of the closet and released this tremendous album RESURRECTION. Heavy Metal is usually a pretty narrow-minded, but when RESURRECTION hit the shelves, nobody gave a damn anymore about Rob Halford's sexual preferences. The title song is usually what people remember from it, where Halford displays his trademark screech, but THE ONE YOU LOVE TO HATE, featuring Iron Maiden's frontman Bruce Dickinson is the real sleeper here. Pump yourselves up, folks!

Rob Halford & Bruce Dickinson - THE ONE YOU LOVE TO HATE

You may not like the future
And we're not here to preach to you
We'll take you to the killing floor.

You think you want to know me
You think you want to own me
But I have nothing you can buy.

I can break you
I can raise you
Bring you to your knees
Cause I'm the one you love to hate.

You can't fool me
You can't rule me
You only wanna hang around
Cause I'm the one you love to hate.

So come on get a load of this
Something you can't afford to miss
You're just a vulture in my veins.
Your nails won't crucify me
Got money, but you can't see
Your only future is your past.

I can break you
I can raise you
Bring you to your knees
Cause I'm the one you love to hate.

You can't fool me
You can't rule me
You only wanna hang around
Cause I'm the one you love to hate.

I can break you
I can raise you
Bring you to your knees
Cause I'm the one you love to hate.

You can't fool me
You can't rule me
You only wanna hang around
Cause I'm the one you love to hate.
