2011....the Best Fails

I have a confession to make. What makes me laugh the most in the world is probably fail videos. I know it's not cool to laugh at somebody else's probable injury, but I can't really help it. The lack of judgment of human beings versus the laws of physics and nature is a confrontation that had comedic appeal since the glory days of Buster Keaton. I've been reluctant to post fail videos here for two reasons.

First, I don't want you to think I'm a sadistic wacko that laughs at human misery

and

They're not all good. A guy who slightly drifts with his car or somebody that falls off his bike in unspectacular fashion is nothing to write your mom about, even if the people in the video laugh a lot. I also don't post videos where I think there's been casualties (I'm thinking of a video where a kid dunks on his basket-ball pole, only to fall head first against the concrete and get the rim in the teeth. Not funny).

But those are great. Twelve minutes of amazing fails that made me laugh out loud yesterday night. I thought I'd share them with you as part of the year-end review. Also, I've been looking for a classic fail online and maybe you guys can help me. I saw it only once, years ago and I never could find it after. It's a guy that jumps a flight of stairs with his bike, but loses his front wheel in mid-air.

25 Wishes for 2012
