Choose What I'll Read Next...February Edition
So, last month I invited you to submit book titles you'd like me to review in 2017 and it wasn't exactly a success. I mean, the turnout was great for a first month: I got eight suggestion overall. Seven legit novels and one thirty-eight pages supernatural gay erotica book and, of course, a random draw gave me the supernatural gay erotica book. Anyway, I've read and reviewed it and it was quite smarter than it looked. I'm happy to have finally read Chuck Tingle and hope never to read him again.
The suggestions for January were:
Chuck Tingle - Pounded in the Butt by My Own Butt
Tim O'Brien - The Things They Carried
Kris Saknussemm - Private Midnight
Ken Leek - The Origins of Disgust, Self-Hatred and Hostility
Ian Fleming - Octopussy and the Living Daylights
So, I want NEW suggestions for February. The rules are simple:
1) Multiple entries are accepted
2) One book per author
3) Name the author AND title
4) Try and stick to whatever title you'd like my opinion on. Whether it's an author you love, hate or are on the fence about reading. I keep myself a discretionary right of disregarding suggestions I believe wouldn't be enjoyed by anyone except the person suggesting (i.e. their own book).
5) Either vote in the comment section here or on the related Facebook post.
I will hold the draw on FEBRUARY 17 on Facebook LIVE like I did last time. Feel free to suggest the same books that were suggested last month if you're REALLY into one of the suggestions that was already made. So, I want to hear YOU guys. Take control of Dead End Follies for a day and decide what I'm going to review. If you guys deliver consistently with books, I will DEFINITELY consider repeating the experiment with movies, so keep that in mine.
